About TipJar
TipJar is a small New Zealand business that helps schools, clubs, and community groups accept digital payments and donations online, without EFTPOS rental, contracts, or setup fees.
How it works
You create a jar, share the link, and print a QR poster. Anyone who opens it can pay from their phone in seconds. Money lands in your bank account the next business day. No cash to count at the end of the night, no bank transfers to chase.
How we're funded
A flat 2% platform fee on what you collect. That's it: no monthly fees, no lock-in contracts, no feature tiers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and priced separately at standard rates (~2.7% + 30c for a domestic card).
Who's behind it
TipJar is built and operated in Aotearoa New Zealand. We're early and intentionally small: quick to respond, quick to fix, and happy to jump on a call or meet in person where we can. If you email us, a human replies.
Who uses TipJar
Schools, PTAs and home-and-school committees, sports clubs, community groups, street performers, cafés, and individuals raising money for a cause. If your group collects money from people, TipJar probably fits.
